SEU International Students Team Awarded Excellent Achievements in "The First International Students' Clinical Thinking and Skills Competition"

"Study in China" - The First Clinical Thinking and Skills Competition for International Medical Students · 2017 was held successfully in Tianjin Medical University on December 9. The competition is co-hosted by the China Association for International Education(CAFSA) and Tianjin Medical University, and organized by the International Medical School of  Tianjin Medical University. Totally,  104 foreign students from 26 universities in China participated in this competition.

The representatives of the foreign students of our school led by Xiaoming Yu consisting of CHANG TARK HUNG (Malaysia), SANTHA KUMAR K (India), MARYAM KHALIL EBARAHIM SALMAN HUSAIN ALHALAL (Bahrain), MARWA ABBAS ISA ALI KADHEM, Bahrain) won the Outstanding Team Award in the competition, the Best Organization Award and SANTHA won the Obstetrics and Gynecology Individual Outstanding Award.Haoyang Zhang, Bo Xie , Yan Hu , Quan Wen, Zhendan Peng, Jingmin Cao, Lai Wei accompanied our team throughout, cheering for the contestants.

This competition involves various disciplines, including Internal Medicine, Surgery,Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency, etc, which covers Clinical case inquiry 30 items related to the the skills and theoretical knowledge. The competition restored the real environment and clinical situations, and comprehensively examined the medical clinical thinking, humanistic care spirit, communication skills and standardized clinical operation skills. 

 

The competition aimed to enhance the foreign students’ clinical skills, promote the development of a good study style, cultivate internationally qualified talents of Chinese brands, improve the quality of education, and focus on examining clinical thinking and clinical basic skills, solid foundation for cultivating more outstanding medical professions.
