International Student Won the Second Prize of the 7th Campus Legal Culture Festival Speech Competition

On the evening of December 4th, 2021, the "Final Night" of the 7th Campus Legal Culture Festival of Southeast University was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Jizhong Building. Bai Luoluo (CHINTANA CHAIYASUK), an international student, won the second prize of the Speech Competition. In addition, College of International Students won the Outstanding Organization Award.

Recently, in order to promote the formation of a sound atmosphere for respecting, studying, observing and applying the law, the School of Law organized a series of activities of the 7th Campus Legal Culture Festival. So as to strengthen the education on Chinese laws and regulations for international students, and let them better integrate into campus life, College of International Students actively organized international students to participate in the Festival. After fierce competition, Bai Luoluo (CHINTANA CHAIYASUK) successfully entered the "Final Night" on the evening of December 4th.

Sun Litao, vice president of Southeast University, attended the event. He first represented the university to warmly welcome the students who entered the final, and expressed the heartfelt gratitude to the units that hosted the competition, the judges, and the volunteers for their hard work. Sun Litao affirmed that the Campus Legal Culture Festival hasplayed an active leading role in strengthening the law popularization on campus,increasing the enthusiasm of teachers and students in learning the law, and promoting the construction of the legal culture in our university. At last, he wished the "Final Night" a complete success.

Subsequently, at the final of the Speech Competition, the international student from Thailand, Bai Luoluo (CHINTANA CHAIYASUK), shared her understanding of the development of Chinese laws, and her own insights through her experience in China and Southeast University. From the perspective of an international student, she described the Chinese legal system in her eyes, which won the recognition of the judges and the second prize of the 7th Campus Legal Culture Festival Speech Competition.

Speaking of this competition, Bai Luoluo (CHINTANA CHAIYASUK) said: “Thanks to the School of Law and College of International Students for giving me this opportunity to express my views on the rule of law in China. From my personal experience, I think China has very strict laws to protect its nationals and foreigners, so that I can study and live here safely. Each of us should understand our rights and duties and abide by the law. We international students should also learn more about Chinese laws and regulations, as well as the university’s rules and disciplines, to live peacefully with students from China and other countries."

In addition, College of International Students won the Outstanding Organization Award, and Sun Litao, the vice president, presented medal to College.

In the future, College of International Students will strengthen the education on Chinese laws and regulations for international students, enhance their awareness of compliance with the law, and organize international students to participate actively in campus cultural activities to enrich their campus life.
