I. Elementary Chinese

Program Description

The program offers courses in Chinese to non-native speakers wishing to improve their Chinese language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). The course work in this program is on three levels (beginning, intermediate and advanced).

Application & Registration Fees: RMB 400

Tuition Fee: Annual tuition fee is RMB 16,000 including all teaching materials

Application Time: Mar. 1- Jun. 15; Sep. 1- Dec. 30

Registration Time: Mar. 1- Jun. 15; Sep. 1- Jan. 20

Required documents:

● A copy of passport or other identification

● Physical Examination Record of Foreigners (only required for those whose study duration is more than 6 month)

II.Intensive Chinese

Program Description

The program is designed to prepare the students wishing to study SEU’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught in Chinese or those wishing to improve their Chinese language competence within limited time by providing one-semester long intensive courses (30 hrs /wk) on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Application & Registration Fees: RMB 400

Tuition Fee: Tuition fee for one semester is RMB 10,000 including all teaching materials, and RMB 9,000 for one extra semester.

Registration Time: Feb. / Sept.

Program Description

The program is tailored to those interested in Chinese and Chinese culture by providing short-term elective courses or lectures.

Other Expenses: The program includes two sightseeing within the city, and the related expense is around RMB 300 per person.
