 3.Go for Shopping

The public transportation system in Nanjing is fairly convenient and reliable. Outside each campus gate there are many public buses that t can take you to almost anywhere in the city. Taxi is also readily available on and around campus.
Taxi is convenient and available 24 hours a day. Rates reflect the distance to your destination. Taxi is generally between 2.00 yuan per kilometer (there is a sticker on the window of the back seat doors with the specific price for each taxi). Also, this fee is added to a flat rate of 9 yuan at the start of every ride (higher rate late at night). Take precautions to make sure that the taxi driver is licensed (license should be displayed above the glove compartment with the driver’s name and photo) and make sure to buckle up, especially on the freeway. Traffic accidents are not rare in China.

You will receive a receipt at the end of your ride. It is wise to hold on to that receipt in case something comes up and you need to get in touch with the driver or the taxi company.
Bicycle is the most convenient way to commute between Sipailou Campus and Dingjiaqiao Campus,  which are both located in the downtown area. Remember to lock your bike. Also, for the sake of safety, you must dismount your bike at each university entrance and walk your bike through the gate.
