For Self-Supported Students:
The self-supported students admitted by SEU can apply for SEU’s int’l students dorms.
Due to the availability of int’l students dorms, the undergraduate and general advanced students should share one room per two persons, and the taking up living outside campus is encouraged.
The self-supported students shall pay sufficient rent at the beginning of each semester (no less than 6000RMB), and the monthly room rent and water & electric fees are to be deducted from the rent paid. And 5% late fee will be charged per month if deficit occurs.
Every room renter is entitled to free electricity of 70 Kw and free water of 4 ton per month and the suppassing portion shall be charged. The surplus on the same month can be incorporated into the next-month free quota.
For CSC-Supported Students:
According to the related regulations by the CSC on the accomodation of the Chinese government scholarship students, the int’l students at graduate and senior advanced level are entitled to living alone and those at undergraduate and general advanced level one room per two persons.
Proceeding from the actual price of SEU’s int’l students dorms, room subsidy of RMB1000 will be granted to the Chinese government scholarship students at graduate level per month and RMB of 500 to those at undergraduate level per month. The students at undergraduate level should share one room per two persons and the price difference shall be deducted from the living allowance if the monthly rent of the room chosen is higher than the criteria of room subsidy, and the differential quota will be transferred into his/her water & electric account if the monthly rent of the room chosen is lower than the criteria of room subsidy.

Application from the senior undergraduate students for living alone is accepted on the precondition that there are vacant rooms and the applicants can pay the rent themselves.
