I. Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:

Neuropsychiatry is a clinical medicine that studies the etiology, pathogenesis, pathology, clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, muscle disease and psychiatric disorders. The main task of this subject is to enable the international students to acquire a certain principles of common diseases, such as acute cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, Parkinson disease, schizophrenia, depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as skills for clinic practice. and master basic methods and clinical significance of localization diagnosis of neurologic diseases.

1st. Neurology general introduction(6 class hours)

1.1Introduction to neurological diseases

1.2The clinical application of the nervous system

1.3Positioning, qualitative methods,

1.4Neurological disease symptoms

2nd. Peripheral neuropathy and spinal cord lesions (6 hours)

2.1The introduction of the nerve anatomy

2.2Neurophysiology, neuropathology, the clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria and treatment principles of peripheral nerve    

2.3Neurophysiology, neuropathology, the clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria and treatment principles of spinal cord disease

3rd. Cerebrovascular disease(6 class hours)

3.1The anatomical structure, classification and pathophysiological mechanism of common cerebrovascular diseases;
     3.2The concept and classification of ischemic stroke, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment principle of cerebral infarction;
     3.3The diagnosis and differential diagnosis and treatment principle of cerebral hemorrhage, diagnosis and treatment principle of subarachnoid hemorrhage

4th. Epilepsy and Tremor paralysis (4hour)

4.1 The epilepsy etiology, pathogenesis and classification of epilepsy syndrome and epilepsy

4.2 The parkinsons' disease clinical manifestations, different diagnosis  and treatment;

5th. Cranial hypertension(2 class hours)

The manifestation , the etiology and the treatment  and differental diagnosis of cranial hypertension.

6th. Myasthenia gravis and Myasthenia symdrome(2class hour)

6.1 The pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and treatment principles of myasthenia gravis.

6.2 Various types of myasthenia gravis crisis identification and treatment;

6.3The clinical manifestations and treatment principles of periodic paralysis.

7th. Psychiatry (2class hour)

Clinical features of mental illness, classification of diseases, symptomatic analysis, and learning requirements of the course.

8th. Organic mental disorder(2 class hour)

Clinical features of Organic mental illness, classification of diseases, symptomatic analysis,

9th. Affective disorder and schizophrenia(6 class hours)

9.1 Depressive disorder and bipolar disorder in emotion disorder,

9.2 The clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, treatment principles of schizophrenia.

10th. Neurosis (4 class hours)

10.1 The clinical presentation, diagnosis and management principle of stress related disorders.

10.2 The definition, diagnostic criteria, the principle of prevention and treatment for for anxiety disorders.

10.3 The definition, diagnostic criteria, the diagnosis and the management principle for obsessive compulsive disorder

11th. Neurology practice8 class hours

Neurological examination, lumbar puncture operation exercise, electroencephalogram practice, neurological disease case analysis.

12th. Psychiatric internship (4 class hours )

Mental system interrogation and mental status examination, psychiatric case analysis.
