1. It is advisable to take extra precaution with your passport and money. Normally, you are not advised to take a large amount of cash along with you.
2. When leaving your room, make sure to turn off the electricity, faucet, stove, and lock windows and door.
3. Please do not give your keys and cell phone to anyone that you are not familiar with.
4. Remember to lock your bicycle and e-bike.
5. When you are in the library, do not leave your money, or other valuables on the desk, even you only leave for a short time.
6. When you are at the gym, do not take much money or other valuables along with you.
7. When you are waiting in the queue in restaurant, please pay attention to your belongings and put them where you can see while eating. Do not put valuables in the back of you.
8. Don' t tell others the password of your bank cards. If your Campus ID Card or bank card is lost, you must promptly report its loss with your passport.
9. When in public, do not show your valuables to others. Do not put your backpack and handbag on your back. Do not place cash in your back pockets or outer pockets. Put these belongings in your sight at all times.
10. When at the grocery store or shopping mall, do not put your valuables in the trolley or basket. When in the fitting room, you should keep an eye on your bag and do not leave it there when you come out.
11. When taking public transport, pay attention to your bag, place it in your sight and grip the strap in case you leave it in chair when get off.
Below are some situations/traps that you should take precautions against:
1. If someone calls you and tells you that your friend has been involved in an accident and you need to immediately send money to an unknown account, please be alert !
2. If you receive a message saying that you have won a prize in the lottery, moreover asking you to send money to an unknown account or to provide your bank card number and password so that they can send you the money, please be alert !
3. If you come across a store that sells name brand products at a very low price, please be alert ! Maybe the seller decreases the prices just in order to lure you in.
4. If you find someone' s wallet on your way, you must be alert and cautious about how to deal with this situation to prevent being tricked.
5. When you are going to the ATM or at a sales counter, please ensure that your password is concealed so that you can prevent others from stealing your money from your bank card.
6. While walking on the road and someone comes up to you and says that they forgot to take wallet or it' s stolen so they have to borrow money, phone, or bank card from you, please be alert !
